An excerpt from a spiritual manifesto, which sums up people’s evolutionary path very aptly.
“Among all the beings of Creation, at least among those here on Earth, the human species is the only one that can apprehend mystical concepts. However, humans may be incapable of formulating them rationally or fully understanding their meaning. To be sure, there are individuals everywhere in the world who are satisfied to lead purely materialistic lives. However, to those whose consciousness of self is ever so slightly awakened, only the appropriate spiritual nourishment can bring them satisfaction in life. A good many fundamental ideas—such as the reason for our existence on Earth, the concept of good versus bad, karma, the immortality of the soul or reincarnation—are kindled and find widespread acceptance through those contacts that humans have at all times established with the universe surrounding them.”
