The aliveness of our emotions

This week feels a bit like ‘going back to basics;’ that is, to how we function.

And it’s again about movies.

We watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix last night.

In it, Prof. Severus Snape subjects Harry to some grueling testing in order for Harry to control his emotions. Something that will serve Harry well later on, said Snape.

This scene allowed me to reflect on (my) emotions once again. Especially at this time when Gaia and its inhabitants are experiencing quite a significant transition.

Where do our emotions come from?

From our mind, our heart, or from somewhere else within us?

Do they usually need an external trigger? (which would be my assumption)

Is it our emotions that we need to control, or is it our potential reactions to them? Once the ‘bird is unleashed’ out of the cage, so to speak

And did any new emotions pop up at this moment in time? For the past two months, let’s say?

Perhaps things that were stored in the freezer for a long, long time are starting to show up and thaw. Who knows?

There is so much we can play around while questioning our emotions, and the myriad of ways we live and breathe.

Emotion—ally yours!

About new desert

Nurturing the Gift of Seeking is about a spiritual "destination," a journey within, a new beginning, that eventually takes us where we are meant to arrive. Some call it Home, yet I am not sure what Home means, and where it is. Enjoy the journey, dear Ones! On this journey, what matters, first and foremost, is our seeking spirit. And the seed of perseverance--or faith, if you will. Happy journey, dear fellow Sisters and Brothers!
