Following our inner light

Dear Ones,

Thanks to our school district’s superintendent, I came across a meaningful quote from a Prussian general who was unknown to me. Carl Von Clausewitz is his name.

His words are about the light—the inner light, that is—and are quite profound. One may think it unusual for someone involved in wars and protection of his country to be sensitive to inner workings; yet perhaps we could use Mr. von Clausewitz’s wisdom to solve some of our 21st century conflict, while paying attention to the light that shines from within and to the lava-like wisdom that silently erupts, like a tender volcano. Pushing out the Truth from the center of the earth for everyone to be immersed in It.

How uncanny that Carl didn’t die fighting on the front, but from a silent enemy he was attempting to contain: cholera.

Here are his words:

“If the mind is to emerge unscathed from the relentless struggle with the unforeseen, two qualities are indispensable: first an intellect that, even in the darkest hour, retains some glimmerings of the inner light which leads to the truth; and second, the courage to follow this light wherever it may lead.”

From Wikipedia

Carl Philipp Gottfried von Clausewitz, 1 July 1780 – 16 November 1831) was a Prussian general and military theorist who stressed the “moral” (in modern terms meaning psychological) and political aspects of waging war. His most notable work, Vom Kriege (“On War“), though unfinished at his death, is considered a seminal treatise on military strategy and science.

Clausewitz was a realist in many different senses, including realpolitik, and while in some respects a romantic, he also drew heavily on the rationalist ideas of the European Enlightenment.

Clausewitz stressed the dialectical interaction of diverse factors, noting how unexpected developments unfolding under the “fog of war” (i.e., in the face of incomplete, dubious, and often erroneous information and great fear, doubt, and excitement) call for rapid decisions by alert commanders. He saw history as a vital check on erudite abstractions that did not accord with experience. In contrast to the early work of Antoine-Henri Jomini, he argued that war could not be quantified or reduced to mapwork, geometry, and graphs. Clausewitz had many aphorisms, of which the most famous is “War is the continuation of policy with other means.”

… In 1815 the Russian-German Legion became integrated into the Prussian Army and Clausewitz re-entered Prussian service as a colonel.[10] He was soon appointed chief-of-staff of Johann von Thielmann‘s III Corps. In that capacity he served at the Battle of Ligny and the Battle of Wavre during the Waterloo campaign in 1815. An army led personally by Napoleon defeated the Prussians at Ligny (south of Mont-Saint-Jean and the village of Waterloo) on 16 June 1815, but they withdrew in good order. Napoleon’s failure to destroy the Prussian forces led to his defeat a few days later at the Battle of Waterloo (18 June 1815) when the Prussian forces arrived on his right flank late in the afternoon to support the Anglo-Dutch-Belgian forces pressing his front. Napoleon had convinced his troops that the field grey uniforms were those of Marshal Grouchy’s grenadiers. Clausewitz’s unit fought heavily outnumbered at Wavre (18–19 June 1815), preventing large reinforcements from reaching Napoleon at Waterloo. After the war, Clausewitz served as the director of the Kriegsakademie, where he served until 1830. In that year he returned to active duty with the army. Soon afterward, the outbreak of several revolutions around Europe and a crisis in Poland appeared to presage another major European war. Clausewitz was appointed chief of staff of the only army Prussia was able to mobilize in this emergency, which was sent to the Polish border. Its commander, Gneisenau, died of cholera (August 1831), and Clausewitz took command of the Prussian army’s efforts to construct a cordon sanitaire to contain the great cholera outbreak (the first time cholera had appeared in modern heartland Europe, causing a continent-wide panic). Clausewitz himself died of the same disease shortly afterwards, on 16 November 1831.

Clearing up our minds

Dear Ones,

A friend sent me this video today—she said she thought about me when she watched it.

This Ho’o pono pono technique is not new to me, yet I never put it to the test.

This is an interview of the person who discovered the technique (Morrnah Simeona) and the professional who promoted it, Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len. It is 28-minute long, yet it may give you an idea of how inner healing works, and how it can help clearing our minds of any encumbrances.

It was filmed in Alaska in …. 1986!

Earlier this year (2022) a great healing soul transitioned over to spirit – and while Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len may no longer physically be with us, he leaves our world a great healing legacy. When I encountered his healing methods, including the powerful 10-word mantra and philosophy transmitted to him by healer Morrnah Simeona, I found my world transformed – both in my health and relationships, and also in my professional life – as an acupuncturist.

I found healing outcomes improved significantly, and a sense of peace pervaded my every interaction. It’s all subjective of course – but this was my experience. Because of this, I recommend people learn about Morrnah and Dr. Hew Len’s ‘Self Identity Through Ho’oponopono healing method, and I also recommend Joe Vitale’s book ‘Zero Limits’ as an easy way to get to grips with these concepts. Quick searches on Google and YouTube will reveal numerous sources of information about Dr. Hew Len, Ho’oponopono and the wonderful methods therein.

Another week suspended in stillness, really?

Dear Ones,

Unexpectedly, a recording that I made five years ago for one of our communions recently popped up as a Facebook memory. A sweet one.

The theme of that communion was, “A week suspended in stillness.”

Amazingly, the conditions we are facing now, five years later, are fairly similar.

We are approaching another New Moon, which will occur on February 9th at 5:59 pm EST / New York, and marks the beginning of a new lunar year.

In 2019, the New Moon occurred on February 4th at 4:03 pm EST. Hence the stillness that we experienced preceding that date. Please see the January 31, 2019, invite below.

We seem to be once again in the canal leading to a new birth—the birth of a powerful New Age.

And yet that stillness that some of us might be feeling or experiencing feels utterly different from that of 2019, doesn’t it?

What will the year of the Dragon bring, but fire?

And possibly destruction by fire?

It feels, truly, like the beginning of the end. The end of how we knew and lived life.

Would you agree?

Here is the announcement about the Year of the Dragon by Raquel Spring, the astrologer I quoted at the end of my January 31, 2019, invitation.

“The Year of the Dragon 2024 finally reveals the dawn of a new power, and a significant pathway for new energies to come in!

Do you feel it? A new force is here. This is truly a time to step forward with Dragon energies into new light, and a new life.

I am excited to invite you to this Saturday’s workshop where we will explore the pivotal month of February. Some themes for this workshop are:

1. The Power of The Dragon in 2024:

Pluto in Aquarius and the North Node in Aries have made the clarion call for new leaders to rise. Now, the Year of The Dragon opens the door to a new human embodiment, a radical DNA shift and announces the time to step into sovereignty and freedom!

2. Aquarius Season: Revolution is here!

In February, the Aquarius momentum really picks up as Mercury, Venus and Mars join the Sun and Pluto in this emerging power.

3. New Moon in Aquarius square Uranus: Radical steps and new paths

February’s New Moon emphasizes the Aquarian revolution through a square to its ruler, Uranus. This adds to the superpowers of Sun, Pluto, Mercury, Venus and Mars, who are all in Aquarius, and initiates a radical paradigm shift for 2024.

4. Saturn covers new degrees and begins new themes in Pisces

Last year, Saturn reached its maximum distance of 7° Pisces. In February, Saturn finally catches up and moves into new ground, new territory for your Pisces house.

A week suspended in stillness?

Or

‘A week in suspended stillness,’ as Raquel put it in her astrology newsletter.

Dear Ones,

Isn’t it beautiful when you start reading an article and realize it describes to the ‘t’ how you’ve been feeling or sensing about the time period?

That’s exactly what happened to me this morning. Yet Raquel is talking about the upcoming week and I have had that feeling for the past five or six days.

A feeling that things have come to a halt; that not much is moving, for whatever reason. Because of the closing of a lunar cycle, as Raquel suggests, a waning gibbous moon, or some other inconspicuous reason.

And a feeling that there isn’t much we need to do. It isn’t that we are stuck; I would rather feel that we are in transition, to a different kind of energy, perhaps. A feeling that ’things’ will open up once the new lunar year is upon us.

So enjoy what is there to enjoy, grab a good book you wanted to (re)read for some time, and ponder what comes your way—however trickle-like flowing that may be. The times may become more ‘agitated’ once things start rolling up the hill!

Here is what Raquel wrote as an intro to her ‘week in suspended stillness’ newsletter.

Not only are we closing a lunar cycle, in preparation for a new one to come (Aquarius New Moon on February 4th), but we are also closing a bigger cycle, in preparation for the Chinese New Year, and this is always a significant time of the year, period.

Are we experiencing an hyperdrive acceleration?

Isn’t it nice, dear Ones, when someone puts into words what you’ve been feeling for a while?

It’s exactly what happened this afternoon, Wednesday, with this ‘hyperdrive acceleration’ thing I am talking about.

As part of a small group discussion, I was talking about the importance of removing our “spiritual gunk.” Assuredly the gunk we can barely see.

One gentle-man responded,

“Yes. With the 2024 hyperdrive acceleration already underway, our choice is to remove the gunk, or have the gunk removed. I understand the former leads to greater integration, whereas the latter leads to disintegration.”

When I asked him about the origin of that expression, here is what he offered.

“The term is coming up for me again in the context of astronomy, however it has been an established term regarding this time in many areas of commentary. I believe it will only get faster for some time now.”

And then he shared a quote from the Hathors.

“As a carbon based being, your body is made of stardust. And your nature is very much like coal. Like coal, if you experience enough pressure, you will either be pulverized or become a diamond. This sound meditation will strengthen you so that you can bear the cosmic force that is squeezing you from all sides. Thus, you may, with enough clarity of intent and persistence, become a multifaceted cosmic diamond. That is your destiny—but only if you choose it.”

– The Hathors

2024 has been a bit surreal, to say the least. I can feel the thrust, the pressure moving us upward and the ‘little chaos’ that sometimes ensues.

It is not monstrous chaos, just things that often throw us off balance; a meeting being rescheduled, another being canceled, people not responding to messages or being critical; and plenty of misunderstandings.

At the same time that this ‘little chaos’ is going on, there is an upsurge of love. But perhaps not every day. I could feel it in a school (with young children) where I was teaching during the first two days of the year. Children hugging me out of the blue, after a simple exchange of a smile.

And then this last Monday in a class of 1st graders. An outpouring of sweet messages, drawings and hugs from at least six or seven children; something that started mid-day and that continued unabated until dismissal.

Of course what I didn’t tell you is that I skipped the 45-minute math class and let them play games instead. That teaching ‘generosity’ is worth at least a couple hugs, no!

All the light we cannot see

Dear Ones,

How does the end of an old year look, appear or feel?

Any last hour revelations?

Over the last few days, my family and I watched a Netflix series about a young blind girl named Marie. She lives in Saint-Malo, western France, in the spring of 1944. The city is still occupied, there are bombings all over and it is what I would call a “treacherous time.”

The title of the series, All the light we cannot see, made me think about our Light.

Can we see our Light when it is projected out?

And do we understand Its effects?

I personally cannot, yet know that things are happening.

Will we see and envision the Light—our Light and that of others—in 2024?

I mean, more conspicuously?

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if, one day, out of the clear grey sky, the Light shows up and we suddenly see It.

Love & much Light!

Kindness is everything

Dear Ones,

I would like to share a couple nuggets from a post (Arcturian Group message) that I like to read every Sunday. Please see below.

Feel free to read the whole article if so inclined.

It highlighted a beautiful picture, showing a fox, a boy and a mole, with the following words:

“I haven’t really achieved anything,” said the boy.

“You are kind,” said the mole, “which is everything.”

“You are entering into a season during which much of the world celebrates the birth of the master teacher Jesus. It is important to remember that the Christmas story is every person’s story and not just that of one man. The Christ (Light of Spiritual consciousness) can only be born into a consciousness emptied (the stable) of personal ego and beliefs based in duality, separation and two powers. Because this state of consciousness is already full, the higher frequencies of the real Self cannot flow–there is “no room at the Inn.”

… It may seem as if nothing is happening in your quest for deeper realization, but know that the moment you were ready for and consciously began a search for truth, you consciously or unconsciously stated your intention to spiritually evolve. At this point “the train leaves the station” and does not stop until the destination is reached even when there are stops and bumps along the way or you decide you want to get off.

… Every person is already self-sustained and maintained, whole and complete, cause and effect, abundant, intelligent, harmonious, and infinite, etc. etc. but the density and resulting hypnotism of being in three dimensional energy blocks this awareness from most. The evolutionary journey is nothing more than the process of getting out of your own way and allowing these already present qualities of Source/God/Divine Consciousness to flow into expression–the Christmas story.

… You find that without conscious thought you have become more understanding, patient, loving, and kind because you have removed the blocks and opened the door to your own Divine Consciousness allowing IT to flow as you. Things, events, people, solutions, and situations that are fulfilling and of a high level begin to unexpectedly show up. Things that you could not have asked for because you did not know about them. Fulfillment is the true nature of SELF.”

Cultivating Gratitude

Good morning dear Ones,

Naturally, the season that is enveloping us, certainly in the US, is one of gratitude offering, of gratitude being. Gratitude for what we have and what so many in the world do not have.

I was recently reading about the Exodus, the 40-year journey that the descendants of Abraham took in the Egyptian desert to reach the promised land of milk and honey. The word that came very often in the description of this journey is ‘grumbling.’ The grumbling of the masses because of their harsh conditions, the lack of food and water, the inept leadership of Moses, and so many other things.

Come to reflect on it, what matters is what we send out into the universe. Grumbling and complaining shut our hearts tight and do not allow for grace, insights or miracles to flow in; even little every day miracles, like an unexpected smile or gesture.

Rather than pitying ourselves on what we don’t have, or what we cannot do, let’s cultivate a genuine attitude of appreciation for life, and for what is given to us.

It may be an important attitude this year around, as we are about to close the year 2023, more than in any others years. I am not sure why I am writing this but this is what feels aligned with the direction where we are heading.

Let’s invite the good, the healthy, and the bountiful and let’s anchor in our lives an attitude of gratitude and reverence.

Gratitude as well for being present at this crucial juncture for humanity, on the path of what may very well be another promised land.

Please join us this Thursday as we celebrate gratitude and open our hearts.

Being a luminous beacon of Light

Dear Ones,

This image of being a shining light, a beacon of Light, aiming at discreetly illuminating areas of ‘dark character’ has always been meaningful to me.

Perhaps now more than ever as I can sense the sluggishness of the times. Around in the world—certainly—and perhaps around in some of the people we encounter.

It takes a long time to turn darkness into light, and the key ingredient is persistence.

Persistence and faith, despite the lack of apparent results.

Who knows what our vision will be once we turn a corner in this world of ours?

I leave you with this post from the Creator, that mentions the luminosity of our Light.

Let’s keep it up, dear Ones.

I love this superb picture – enjoy it!

“It is time to keep your eyes wide open.  There may be people and situations being designed specifically to move you into fear mode.  Some may attempt to sell you beliefs and ideas that do not resonate.  Many have chosen to stay asleep in the comfort of the mass consciousness, ignoring the mounting energy engulfing your world and choosing to remain blissfully unaware that things are changing at break-neck speed. Free will dictates that you get to decide what works and does not work for you!

The Universe knows this may sound a bit disheartening and a little more than disappointing. But, by keeping your eyes open, you will be able to see those around you that are ready for change, to step into their light and rise above the status quo. This is where your bright light, radiating Unconditional Love and peace, comes into play. Be the luminous beacon that helps light the way out of the darkness.”

A small yet meaningful experience

Dear Ones,

I had a meaningful experience last night lying in bed next to our son—he always enjoys company on the way to his astral travels.

Yesterday was a rough day. I have a nasty cold which got my nose running like a fountain of youth and I kept sneezing in and out. As fortuity would have it, it was one of those evenings when our son gets back from school late and we don’t have dinner until 10 pm—knowing I am the one preparing dinner.

Right after dinner, our happy-go-lucky teenager asked me if I could ‘put him to bed.’ Given the state of my health and my persistent headache, I hesitated and yet, for a mystical reason, surrendered to his whim.

After a few minutes, my wife came into his room and said she intended to empty the dryer where clothes had been sitting for a few hours. A twenty minute delay, at past 11 pm, when I have six potential hours of sleep ahead of me, no way, I thought.

Calming down a bit, I took an inner pulse and could clearly see two options. Either I would get infuriated and would get up to pick a fight. Or I would surrender—one more time, to yet another person—and muster as much gratitude as possible.

To be honest, I felt helpless knowing that our son was about to fall asleep and I couldn’t move, and that my wife was clearly moving ahead with her late night plan.

I ended up choosing the ‘gratitude route,’ not really knowing what I would be grateful for, and it was truly liberating. The anger volcano that would have happily erupted three years prior was silent. I soon moved to our bedroom ‘unharmed’ and ‘unagitated’ and started helping my wife fold our clothes.

It may feel like a small encounter with my inner emotional process; yet, when I look back, it was amazing to clearly envision the scenarios ahead of me—as well as their consequences—and opt for the wiser one.

Thank you!

Meaning and the absence of consciousness

Dear Ones,

This evening, I was reflecting on what brings or creates meaning in our lives.

Connecting, both inner and outer, is certainly an important element that allows us to infuse meaning wherever and whenever we wish—we are all, more or less, social animals.

I worked with children of various ages these past three days, as an observing substitute teacher.

On Wednesday, I took care of a class of bright and lively 5th graders. Energy was in the air and I connected well with most students. Helping them complete an assignment went a long way, not to mention letting them play soccer in the classroom while waiting for the buses.

On Thursday, I worked with two small groups of 1st graders and kindergarteners. While the 5-years old were engaged during their assignment, they didn’t seem to connect beyond class time. They saw me in the cafeteria and yet didn’t express any emotion or remembrance. I crossed paths with the first graders a few minutes after my coaching and it was all giggles and smiles. A seed had been planted.

Friday felt very different, working with mentally challenged students in a section of a high school’s special education. Many could not express themselves with words and yet there was a light in their eyes during some small activities. These were not always successful, despite their simplicity, and something wasn’t apparently wired in their brain. Could it be that outer consciousness, as most of us experience it, was shut down?

I had lunch in the cafeteria and sat across one of those students, a beautiful young woman who had difficulty eating, yet was on her own. There was a gentle stream of communication between us, all nonverbal.

After she finished her snacks, I picked up the empty bags and threw them in the garbage bin. A few seconds later, she was able to let me know that she no longer needed her jar of applesauce and I discarded it.

Later in the afternoon, while walking in the hallway, I saw her in a room where I had worked in the morning. I looked her in the eyes and waved, yet there was no acknowledgment.

Could it be that consciousness only ‘function’ in the present moment for these teenage children? Similarly, that is, to that of the kindergarteners.

It was a blessed experience in connecting and yes, an experience in exploring meaning as well.

I am not sure what it taught me about consciousness, that I would describe as a light switched on. Switched on within as well, for a few of us.

When I think about the ‘absence of inner consciousness’ in the self-glorifying masses, I can’t help relate to what I observed with these teenage students.

A light that remains unlit.
